I just got back from New Orleans Film Festival and wow, that is one of my new favorites. Great selection, great parties, and really good panels too actually. Somehow panels are always what make me feel like the festival is serious. I always have to confront how bad I am at marketing, networking, instagramming, talking, etc. Which is valuable...
Anyway though this one is great great great. Partially because New Orleans is such an amazing city. It is so beautiful and looks like no where else. The crazy porches, the decay, the high ceilings and lazy heat, all mean it's just super successful visually. Like Venice, totally unique and just aesthetically fascinating.
Ate lots, drank medium, movied lots.
